Night Driving Car: Devlog #2 Scale of the new City

Hello everyone, welcome to the first devlog of my game Night Driving Car, a realistic car simulation game that takes place at night in a beautiful city!

What’s new?

In this update, I have added a new feature: a scale of my new city. This means that you can now explore a miniature version of the city, with all the buildings, roads, and landmarks scaled down to fit in a small area. You can drive around the city, admire the night view, and discover hidden secrets.

The scale city is located in a separate map, which you can access from the main menu. You can also switch between the normal city and the scale city anytime during the game by pressing the S key.

Why a scale city?

I wanted to create a scale city for two reasons: first, to challenge myself as a developer and see how I can optimize the game performance and graphics with a large number of objects in the scene. Second, to give the players a new and fun way to experience the game and the city.

The scale city is not just a cosmetic feature, it also has some gameplay implications. For example, you can drive faster and jump higher in the scale city, because the physics are adjusted to match the smaller size. You can also find some easter eggs and secrets that are only visible in the scale city, such as hidden messages, references, and mini-games.

What’s next?

I hope you enjoy the new feature and have fun exploring the scale city. I would love to hear your feedback and suggestions, so please leave a comment or contact me on Twitter.

For the next update, I plan to add more cars, customization options, and challenges to the game. Stay tuned for more devlog posts and updates. Thank you for your support!
